Intro to Oncology Yoga for Yoga Teachers and Health Care Professionals

Join Sabine in this highly informative workshop that is both profoudly educational and that allows you to experience a yoga class through the eyes of a Cancer survivor.

Cancer is a disease that has effected or will effect us all in some capacity.  Addressing the specific physical and emotional needs of a Cancer patient or survivor in yoga practice is vital in making the student feel safe, understood and empowered in their body again.

In this workshop we will explore:

·What is "yoga4cancer" and what their mission is

·Address and discuss the specific needs of Cancer patients/survivors

·Science of Yoga:  exploring both the risks and benefits for cancer patients

·The 5 building blocks for every y4c class and why they are important

·Experience a 75 minute class as a Cancer patient/survivor (exploring neuropathy, numbness, mobility issues etc.)
